Backup quickly and reliably with Back4Sure

It’s always satisfying to know that you’ve got a complete backup of your system which is easily accessible should the worst happen.  With Back4Sure,  you’ll be creating full system backups in no time.

Features of Back4Sure include an intuitive Windows Explorer type tree-view interface which allows you to select exactly which folders you want to backup.   Back4Sure also allows you to chose the compression format you want; options available include zip and 7z.  This is one advantage over other backup solutions which quite often use a proprietary format to store the files. But because the files are stored in zip, you can quickly assure yourself that everything has been backed up by exploring the zip file. In addition,  you don’t need rely on Back4Sure to restore your files.  This also has the added advantage if you want to restore to another computer.

Additionally, Back4Sure has an option to cleanup the target directory. With this option you can remove orphaned files, that only exist in the target directory but do not have corresponding source files anymore.

The archive files created by Back4Sure are organised well and replicates the sourced file structure so it’s simple to find any file you need. Everything is logged inside the archive files, so can quickly check the success of the backup.

When we tested it, one downside of Back4Sure is it struggles with files which are already open. So it’s important that you close down apps like Outlook if you want to backup your email.
